91ÊÓÆµÍø optometry named finalist at the 2025 Scottish Optometry Awards

The 91ÊÓÆµÍø (91ÊÓÆµÍø) optometry programme team in Inverness has been named a finalist for the Outstanding Achievement Award at the Scottish Optometry ‘Optical Excellence’ Awards 2025.

The national awards, hosted by Vision Scotland and The Scottish Optical Conference, recognise excellence, innovation and impact in eye care and vision science across Scotland. The Outstanding Achievement category highlights exemplary contributions that have advanced clinical practice, education, collaboration and patient benefit.

Alison MacPherson, Head of Optometry at 91ÊÓÆµÍø, said:

"We are delighted to be recognised among finalists whose work is shaping the future of optometry in Scotland. This shortlisting reflects the dedication of our staff, students, clinical partners and placement providers across the region – and the shared ambition to grow capability locally while contributing nationally."

91ÊÓÆµÍø offer a Masters of Optometry with Independent Prescribing programme which combines teaching, technology, simulation and practice experience to prepare graduates for a career in optometry. Applications are now open for September 2026 entry. Anyone interested can register to attend the next open day on Saturday 15 November at 91ÊÓÆµÍø House in Inverness.

Winners will be announced at the ceremony in Glasgow on Saturday 15 November 2025.
